I tossed and turned all night going through my mental tick list. Things that I have done - shop for food, plates, cutlery, glasses, wine, soft drinks, tables, my "Aussie" dress and little trinklets of things necessary for the BBQ.
And then I thought about the things I have yet to do. Burger patties, coleslaw, veggies to be sliced up for the burger, sausage rolls and meat pies to heated up in the oven, the logistics aka. the what ifs.
Now I am waiting for my bro to wake up to give me instructions for what I need to do (kitchen wise). He is the guru, the king/queen of the kitchen and the one who knows what's best for the taste buds.
I am excited. And very pleased with the RSVPs. My friends are really making an effort to turn up, even if it means tearing themselves away from whatever they have planned for the Saturday to be there for an hour.
The knowledge of that is also making me slightly flustered.
It will be fine.
And we will have fun.
Yes we will.
